What commenters say. Highlighted as an underrated, incredibly fast race where Blake nearly broke the world record despite having a poor start.

On “Where does Noah Lyles now rank in the top 10 greatest male sprinters of all time?”

His 19.26 in this videoshowed me his true potential. He had one of the worst starts of his career and almost broke Usain Bolt's 200m world record. If he'd had even an average start that day we'd be seeing a sub 19.20 easily.

On “What do you think the top 10 all-time 100m times could have been in a perfect race?”

Is really tough to stay with Bolt. Could he have gone sub-9.5? Entirely possible in my opinion under perfect circumstances. As for Blake, I can’t help but think of this race. He had one of the worst starts I’ve ever seen and still ran 19.26. I’d really like to know what his true potential was in the 100m with a perfect start. I think it’d be right around a 9.58. link to this video

On “19.52 for Noah Lyles”

When Michael Johnson ran 19.32, I yelled out, that record won't broken for 50 years! I've since learned never to underestimate hungry world-class athletes. Erriyon Knighton is 19 years old with a 19.49 under his belt already. If Noah Lyles doesn't break it in the next several years, Knighton certainly has a chance. Don't get me wrong, 19.19 is blazingly fast, but what would Yohan Blake's 19.26 have been had he not had this horrendous start?
