On “This is my first throw ever and I don’t have a coach. Any tips on form, drills, workouts (i go to the gym) or videos that I could watch?”

No problem, this video is short and this guy has decent form. These drills are kind of to warm up to your full throw. Remember don’t over do it, it takes a lot out of you. I would never do more than like 15 full throws a day to not wear myself out/arm out. link to this video

On “im the worst in my team and its so embarrassing”

The strange thing about throwing is that the learning curve will be different for everyone. In discus, some athletes take a full month or more to figure out how to release the disc properly and spin it, and others end up getting it in a day. In shot put some athletes will be able to use their legs effectively in the throw right away, and some literally never learn and will just force it with their upper body. One thing to keep in mind is that some of these throwing motions do imitate other sport motions. The act of leading with your hips and legs and following through with the upper body is present in baseball, hockey, golf, field hockey, etc, so anyone who played any of those spo…
