On “Hamstring Recovery”

Askling Protocol- most widely researched and used short to mid rehab programme. Aspetar Protocol- Comprehensive short to mid term. David Opar Group- good mid to long term. Jurdan Mendiguchia part 1. Jurdan Part 2- Comprehensive mid to long term. Jurdan part 3- Long term+ (start 4:40ish with exercises). This is a god bank of exercises that have been rigorously screened, tested and used within the best controlled settings. If you are asked to do or are doing anything that you don’t see across these protocols, I would question why and figuratively run away up. On “Constant hamstring and calf pain wont go away”

Gotcha. So this is just based on my experience, so things might be better or worse for you. I would recommend following this protocol for your calves: http://www.bostonsportsmedicine.com/pdf/protocols/calf_strain.pdf I would follow it to the T without much experimentation. Your hamstring will also heal concurrent with this, but you could check out exercises like "the diver" or "the glider" too which would help. I hesitate to provide this video, since dosing & scaling in properly is important, but I've gotten the most success out of this hamstring protocol: link to this video It is based off of this article: https://www.tampereenurheiluakatemia.fi/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Mendiguchia-et-al..pdf

…and are easily ignored (and made worse) because they only affect a limited area and only certain movements like top speed sprinting. Have a look at the askling hamstring protocol, mendiguchia protocol, and specifically hamstring leg sliders. Exercises which promote eccentric hamstring strength are key here. Short reference video for mendiguchia link to this video 95% of this could be accomplished via single and double leg sliders IMO but it is a good reference point for other ideas if you are weak or have limited mobility in any of these exercises.…
