What commenters say. Recommended as an example of high-volume lactic training and for Holloway's explanation of the Brauman start drill.

On “Don't feed those cats???”

…I attribute most of that to higher volume running during winter training. I personally will be including longer runs in training in preparation for outdoors. eg 200-400m @ 3-4 reps. My best times in the 100m have always come off the back of having a lactic based session earlier that week - usually fast 150s. On “Progressing with the Brauman drill”

Thanks a lot for the response! Usually I find that I’m not able to open up my stride when I get out of my starts. The drill is just meant to help a sprinter find rhythm to their start and give the “rise feeling.” I tend to find my arm action wonky so I’m probably gonna try and work on that. Grant Holloway sorta touched on the drill and what it does here at 1:30. link to this video And then there was a post about it a while back from someone asking how to accelerate longer. https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprinting/comments/lrsdmx/how_to_train_to_accelerate_longer/gonykjz/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

There was a comment about it a while back and I’ve seen sprinters use it to feel a rhythm to acceleration. https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprinting/comments/lrsdmx/how_to_train_to_accelerate_longer/gop2j95/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button link to this video 1:30,
