What commenters say. Highly recommended as one of the best instructional videos for understanding and improving block starts and acceleration mechanics.

On “3 point start”

Its not terrible! I personally dont cue myself to push but rather focus on switching my legs and driving my knee **forward** (not up). Doing drills against the wall like switches, knee drives into extension, and hold deep shin angle while against the wall all really help me. so on first step move ur knee directly forward and down and js carry it thru. This is a good video that helps simply explain it

On “advice on start?”

Ok ok so first dont raise up so fast you’ll lose tension in ur muscles. Secondly youre stepping out and kicking your legs back. Think about moving your back knee forward and punching the ground. You don’t even need to be in blocks, try getting in a 3 or 4 point and see how your body likes to be set up. You can also lean forward against a wall and practice moving ur knees **forward** (not up) What happens when you just take a baby step out is your falling over and your body isn’t aligned. You want your body to be in a nice straight line. This video actually helps a bit. So tldr; Move your knee forward instead of taking a little baby step and make sure your body is aligned in a straight line…

On “How does height play into your acceleration with blocks?”

Also technique is a huge factor, check the following video out. I think it’s the best starting instruction, Rae was a top10 sprinter in the world once…. [video

On “Listened to y’all advice how is the start now?”

Way too bunched. You're almost stumbling with 2nd/3rd step. Listen to Rae: link to this video

On “30 meter flyes”

2 times is better. You dont need blocks for acceleration, you can use standing start 3point, 4point, falling, etc. Learn proper mechanics, this video really helped me understand. Do a few reps of 10-30m for acceleration. If you have access to a sled or a hill thatll also help but dont do either every single workout. Plyos will help with tendon stiffness but also do stuff like isometric holds and accessory exercises like atg split squats and bent knee calf raises. Make sure you train your core too! Eat well and rest hard
