This is possibly one of the greatest races / times ever run in the history of the sport of running. Daniel Komen comes through the first mile at sub-4 pace and just keeps going. This page is worth bookmarking. RunnerVision.com

On “Sub 8 two mile?”

Daniel Komen in 1997. He also ran 7:20 for 3k.

On “List of Indoor records broken this season (World, American, Collegiate, and HS records). Which was most impressive to you?”

It's certainly an impressive time. 8:00 has been broken outdoors though, in case you didn't know. There's a video about it here. A video of the entire 3k world record race, which is an even more impressive performance (by conversion) than the sub 8 two mile is here I suggest watching the 3k video and paying attention to the splits. It's just ridiculous.

On “Is 14s in 100m good for a 9yr old?”

That's pace for a world record in the 3k, which doesn't sound that impressive until you try to imagine a 9 year old running this fast

Who wants a geeky stat? On the 1st September 1996, Tim Hutchings commentated on one of the most astonishing performances in athletics history; Daniel Komen's 7:20 over 3000m in Rieti. Today, 28 years later, he commentated on that record being broken. That's one helluva rare thing to happen surely!
