What commenters say. Recommended as a perfect example of low heel recovery, vigorous arm drive, and keeping the head down during block starts.

On “Comments/critiques for improving my acceleration?”

…drive phase is driving your knees up and then striking your foot back down to the ground as fast as possible ,but at the same time maintaining low heel recovery while simultaneously driving your hands back vigorously This will allow you to have power , faster stride frequency and longer stride length Basically make you fast out of the blocks link to this video Here is a perfect example of an athlete executing all of this in slow mo Another thing I see from the video is that, your hips/hip flexors may need either mobility , strength or both. this may also be the reason you are just coming straight up, because you just don’t have the strength yet. On “Form critique? Complete beginner, harsher the better 👍”

link to this video They keep their heads down, I’ve got no clue if they do it specifically to keep their drive phase longer but that’s what helps me and people that I know. link to this video Here’s a video of Gatlin keeping his head down during starts. I never said that OP had a bad start, they asked for critiques and I gave them a some. Never claimed that it would their golden ticket to a perfect start.
