On “I look so weird when I sprint. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?”

…ave a lack of core stability / strength, or you're just not trying. I'm sure you've heard of the "split" / "rip" technique - this refers to the arm movement out of the blocks as a sprinter. Practice really ripping your arms. If you can spend enough effort to make this post, you can spend enough effort to watch this video on acceleration: link to this video…

On “pretty new to sprinting, all advice is appreciated! pr is 12.6.”

If I can paste them for you I’m going to show two videos of sprint starting. First this is an example of American sprint starting and Jamaican sprint starting. But don’t worry about either for know. We will get into it later. Tell me witch one you think would fit you. American is the step out Jamaican is the toe slide. YouTube this is without toe drag. But I the guy had very good information so watch it. No second video gives a lot of information as well but with a toe drag. If you go to YouTube and type Jamaican sprint drills I think you can see them doing it also a skip step. That’s for later. But I think you the way you pick things up Really fast can and will get crazy faster.lol…

On “Form Check”

The answer to most of your questions is that you need to improve your explosive strength, which means hitting the weight rooms and doing all sorts of jumping and quick-movement exercises. But I now saw that you're just 14 y/o, so weight training might not be the best idea right now. Your start - even without the blocks - is pretty good for that age group. You're not gonna be able to execute a really good drive phase out of the blocks until you mature a bit more and gain some proper strength. One of the things that you could do is hurdle jumps (video example). Start low to get a hang of it, so I'd say around 40cm-50cm, and space them about 90cm apart (5-6 hurdles). Use your arms, lift you…
