Hey I posted on your other thread, but lets keep all of this in one post so others can find it too! Thanks for the tag /u/MHath I wouldn't have seen it otherwise! Alright! Good video to break down here. So really there are 4 things that stood out to me that I'd like to talk about. 1) Here is your gather in the back. I think you do a good job on this. You can see you're doing what we call "unseating" basically you crouch and start to fall backwards. Now you can do more of this and really this goes hand in hand with my 2nd point. 2) If you were my athlete THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I saw in that video was you leaving the back. On “Coach needs advice for shotput glide kickback”

A good drill for developing the left leg in the glide is called the "A Drill". You have the athlete start in their traditional position in the back (I would recommend a short-long style glide), and then have the lean back on the right heel while extending their left leg as far back as they can. Then they bring their right foot under them. Here's a video link: link to this video (I don't know how to format).

On “Shotput glide drills”

Work on changing your weight in your power position. The majority of your weight should be on your right leg, to the point where you can freely pick your left foot up and put it down. You don't want to have your weight centered. A great way to work on getting in a good power position from your glide is the A drill.

Questions regarding throwing footwork drills (repost) Rn I'm doing Glide shot put A-drills and Back-to-Middle Drills. How long should I do them for, and how frequently? Rn I'm just doing 1-2 drills for 10-20 minutes for 3-4 times a week, but I'm not sure if that's too little. here is the back to middle drill I think a-drill
