On “how to accelerate longer”

Keep your head down, exaggerate your arm swing, and bring your knees up. link to this video This video shows the angles of what one of my personal favorite athletes (Known for his start) Drills wise grab a cart or a hurdle lean against it as if you were in your drive phase and push it 50 meters hold the form of the drive phase. work on falling starts- Feet together fall forward, until you cant anymore link to this video work on starts from the 3 point stance, when all that is done begin testing a full start set markers on the track of at least 10-15 meters. On “Where on my foot are you supposed to land on when sprinting”

You should land on the ball of the foot with the heel close to the ground. The toes are not to strike the ground. These videos are not barefoot, but they demonstrate a high level of performance. link to this video link to this video

General vs Specific Torque Angle Training for Hip Extension Exercises I wanted to know how some of the coaches and athletes approach the training of hip extension in the weight room. Do you prefer general exercises such as squats and deadlifts or do you think that specific exercises such as hip thrusts and back extensions have value? I have compiled a group of exercises shown in the Google Slide link below that show specific torque angles for each hip extension exercises that I include in the weightroom (sorry for the jr high-level powerpoint): Link All lifts are shown at their greatest instance of hip extension torque. The first slide contains what I consider "general" lifts as they are…

On “Not a sprinter but I do Sprint for conditioning, rate my form I want to get faster”

You are landing your feet too far in front of you instead of underneath you, which slows you down. Your foot placement is sometimes almost sideways, it should be straight. Arm movement is a bit late because you're really throwing your arms forward, this should be more controlled, maintain a 90° degree angle. And you are indeed straining because you're looking up, look straigh ahead and relax your shoulders. Watch this: link to this video
