What commenters say. Recommended as a great guide for structuring preseason training phases and understanding off-season programming concepts.

On “Been having some pretty slow sprints recently even though I’ve been getting stronger. Form advice?”

…arted sprinting and im naturally somewhat strong and can squat 300 almost couble my bodyweight while there are people who can barely squat there bodyweight and still are as fast or faster than me. Its a matter or how you use your force and how fast your muscles are. take everything i say with a grain of salt. here are some good videos: [video link to this video You also say the word recenttly in the title which makes me think that youve slowly starter becoming worse, no offense but you dont look like an elite sprinter so you are probably overtraining, whats your schedule looking like?…

How does training too hard too early in a season put a 'ceiling on how much we can improve'? Athlete.X has a great video on creating an off-season training program here: [video at 1:00 he says "we're putting a ceiling on how much we can improve... " but I don't understand when people say that training too hard in the off-season caps our max speed? To me, it seems that it helps speed up the process (considering you don't get injured/sore) of being able to reach a higher max speed for competition. Any knowledge or articles on this topic? I'd hate to cap my speed cuz of this, thanks!
