An overview of the systematic training methods and technology used by coach Randy Huntington to train elite Chinese sprinter Su Bingtian.

I have looked behind all the scenes, into every corner, and have emerged out of it a deep admirer for the systematic training that Su Bing Tian has gone through. His training is directed by Chinese Athletics Head Coach, Randy Huntington, in Beijing China. Their training uses all sorts of tools to overcome any barrier in developing running speed. It includes: 1080sprint computer, pneumatic resistance, wearable resistance, upper body lifts, standard barbell lifts, activator belts. Everything used is to get this athlete to run faster than 9.91 in the 100m! More special to me is that this athlete has exposed the intolerability of the unchallenged notion that short, and Asian athletes, can't run fast. This self-limiting and damaging ethos is now revised, by a merger of coaching brilliance (Randy and SBT's previous and current support staff) as well as the athlete's performance on the big stage. Enjoy this training montage for the fastest Asian sprinter. *I included a Keiser Bulgarian Squat from one of the emerging sprinters 梁劲生 as I thought it was a Keiser exercise that inserted well into this montage of training.

What commenters say. Recommended to illustrate Randy Huntington's advanced training methods and how his coaching helped Su Bingtian break mental and physical barriers.

On “Why is su bingtian the only really predominant Asian sprinter?”

…. man Asian parents often tend to prioritize academics to their kids; also when there's a fast kid in an Asian country, the soccer coach will usually be the first one to take that kid. 4. it seems many Asians have had some sense of defeatism in terms of sprinting. Even Su didn't think he could run 9.9, but Randy Huntington assured him that he can [video It's because it took a very long time for someone to go sub 10, so they thought it was impossible. but then after one guy did it, many others have done the same within a few years. It's similar to Roger Bannister's first sub 4 minute mile. Mental barrier and low expectation.…
